Inject Some Fun and Personality into Your Home

Bold Designs for your Home

Understanding the client’s objective is paramount to design and fundamental to the brief.

Spaces Design was commissioned to re-design the complete interior of this house.

Continuity was key to bringing all areas of the house together. The games room, however, needed to feel different, fun and quirky, whilst providing comfort and practicality.

Entering this games room from the clean contemporary atmosphere from the rest of the home, required changing it from a dreary, boring room, to an exciting environment, for hosting parties and watching movies.

The proportion and balance of the key areas were influential in redefining this room to accommodate interaction throughout, creating a natural flow for socialising.

The bar area was designed with a contemporary industrial feel. A dramatic feature brick wall was used within the bar area and also incorporated the wood burner, and wood storage wall, thus harmonising the room aesthetically. Dark units by Rational were used to house a fridge, freezer, dishwasher and storage, required for the bar. Industrial Dekton trillium worktops, black sink and taps with contrasting copper were used throughout the kitchen, all bringing the atmosphere together. Scaffolding planks were stained and cleverly used to create shelving and a base for the pendant lights, adding to the rustic, contemporary, industrial ambience.

The addition of Movie art and lighting features, and blacked-out curtains, enhances the milieu.

This room leads directly onto an outdoor seating and entertaining area with a swimming pool, so a bathroom was essential within this zone. The design also had to include a sauna, shower and storage.

The design exceeded the client’s expectations:

“ I can strongly recommend Space Fitting Furniture, the design and space innovation they showed my property was fantastic.

I would recommend anyone who is thinking about embarking on a large refurbishment to contact them to make the most of their space!”
