The brief was quite specific with regards to the appliances and to make this area in the home work for the family and look great.
We discussed all appliance options thoroughly, so that the clients were aware of the different cooking choices and could then make informed decisions.
They are a busy working couple with two young children and cook meals for a healthy option. Eating together was important and so too, was a tv to watch sport while sitting down with friends having nibbles and wine!
The room needed to be light and bright, as it was a fairly, narrow room. Linear wall cupboards and drawers was perfect for this design and were in a silk grey colour with Dekton, marble effect, Opera worktops, which complimented the units perfectly. The tall units were in a contrasting steel colour and Silestone Marengo worktop was used on the other units to contrast the light grey and compliment the tall units. The peninsular breakfast bar had comfortable seating for 4 people, with a small wine fridge at the end.
A major challenge was the entrance to the utility, as the kitchen and utility doors originally, clashed. This was remedied by using a pocket door system, so it was flush and did not disrupt the flow of units or entrance.
To finish this project, new Karndean flooring was fitted and the room was transformed.
